Our Approach

Rapid Action & Empowerment Model

TerraScale’s Rapid Action and Empowerment Model (RAEM) revolutionizes traditional consulting practices by applying the agile methodology from software development to advisory services.

Unlike the conventional waterfall model, RAEM prioritizes rapid iteration and swift implementation, enabling quick decision-making cycles and tangible results. TerraScale’s approach involves a rapid diagnostic phase followed by immediate action planning, allowing clients to generate momentum and create value swiftly.

OUR APPROACH

We focus more on action and less on lengthy discovery.

Our approach is based on the widely-used “agile” methodology from software development as the foundation for our advisory services.

Unlike the traditional “waterfall” model, where each phase is completed before moving on to the next, our agile approach prioritizes rapid iteration and swift implementation.

To set ourselves apart from consulting organizations such as the “Big Four”, we have structured our approach as a “Rapid Action and Empowerment Model” (RAEM).

In contrast to traditional management consulting practice of charging solely for completing the initial phase of a project, our goal is to support clients throughout the entire implementation process. While TerraScale does not directly handle implementation, we provide a platform that enables clients to connect and integrate with the appropriate partners.

Process: Detail

1.  Rapid Diagnostic Phase

Instead of spending a lengthy period on the discovery process, TerraScale will focus on a quick but thorough diagnostic phase. This phase involves a high-level assessment of the client’s current situation, key pain points, and goals. The emphasis here is to gather enough information to inform immediate action, not to conduct exhaustive research.

  • Sprint Planning: In this phase, we perform Sprint Planning, which is a quick and focused session where the client’s immediate needs, key pain points, and goals are identified in quick iterative cycles of confirmation.

2.  Immediate Action Planning

Following the diagnostic phase, the team will quickly move to action planning. This plan will be high-level and flexible, designed to start the process and generate momentum. The aim is to identify the quickest and most impactful actions that can be taken to start creating value for the client.

3.  Action Implementation

The implementation phase will begin as soon as possible, ideally overlapping with the action planning. This approach, often called “rapid prototyping” in the tech industry, allows the team to learn from real-world action and adjust plans on the fly. The focus is on continuous improvement and tangible results.

  • Agile Actions: The heart of the Agile Action Plan, Agile Actions are short, focused periods of action. Each “Action” lasts between one to four weeks and aims at achieving specific, tangible goals defined during 1 and 2. The “Action” starts immediately after the planning phase, emphasizing swift action.

4.  Ongoing Evaluation and Adjustment

Evaluation and adjustment happen concurrently with action. Rather than waiting for a final report or post-implementation review, the team will continuously monitor progress, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments. This feedback loop allows for real-time learning and adaptation.

5.  Partner and Network Leveraging

TerraScale unique strength is its network of financial, legal, and technical partnerships. These partnerships will be leveraged throughout the process to accelerate the deployment of green solutions and market expansion.

6.  Client Empowerment

A key distinction of this approach is the focus on client empowerment. TerraScale will provide its clients with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to continue the progress made during the engagement. The goal is to create sustainable change that persists long after the engagement ends.
