Climate change poses not only an existential threat to the well-being and survival of humanity but also creates new and devastating risks and challenges for businesses and the economy. These risks have the potential to drastically increase the cost of doing business, disrupt global supply chains and create billions of dollars in damage to infrastructure.

Data centers are becoming more indispensable by the minute as we head towards a future in which data is at the core of everything we do. Although modern data centers have unbelievable capacity and sophistication and have made significant contributions to environmental sustainability, they are not immune or invincible to extreme weather and climate conditions.

Ambri, a company that develops grid-scale battery technology that’s reliable and efficient, isn’t publicly traded at this time. It has been funded through seed money and fundraising rounds from major investors. According to PitchBook data, its most recent fundraising was through a Series D round for $17.3 million.
